Design, lighting & sustainability trends at Αrchitect Lab project

Xenia presented for the first time at the 2022 event the Architect Lab project, a new pioneering project, dedicated exclusively to innovative architectural materials and high-end construction solutions.

From the very first day, the interest of the visitors has been won by the Architect Lab, the innovative project that was developed in Hall 2 of the exhibition, both for its design and excellent aesthetics as well as for the ideas and proposals that one could find among its 26 exhibitors. Architects, engineers and decorators in particular were fascinated with the excellent proposals they could find in terms of design, lighting & sustainability trends, but also with the innovative construction solutions and products and architectural ideas that were presented.

From the outset, the space of the Architect Lab was consistent with the idea of innovation, featuring a fluid architecture, with small, asymmetrical, curved booths, joined in a perpendicular configuration, which created an actual innovation colony. The stands of the 26 exhibitors were grouped in 5 islands which visitors could reach from the two corridors within the project.

Architect Lab visitors entered the space from the Lobby, where the Reception was also located. This opened the way to The Islands, a free-form array of exhibition booths where the exhibitors’ products stood out under elaborate architectural lighting, drawing attention to points of interest. The two main exhibition corridors led respectively to the Plaza, where the Architect Lab Lectures were held, and to the Playroom, the space where visitors could discover up close BlueCycle’s sustainable furniture, which has digitally been made from recycled marine plastics, using robotic 3D printing.

Finally, on all three days of the exhibition, on the specially designed stage of the Architect Lab Lectures, which was part of the project, specialized speeches, discussions and workshops were held by renowned architects, hoteliers and important personalities of the tourism industry from Greece and abroad.
