During the Xenia trade show, for the first time ever, a “smart” hotel room will be built by experienced and renowned architects and civil engineers, in Hall 4, combining state-of-the-art technology with the latest ideas in the construction and architectural fields.
Smart hotels are one of the latest trends in the hospitality industry, offering guests innovative ways to make the most of their accommodation. Forum SA, the organizers of Xenia 2017, taking into consideration the needs of the modern traveler, will carry out for the first time in Greece a groundbreaking idea, in collaboration with experienced and renowned architects and civil engineers: a comprehensive and fully functional hotel suite that will incorporate all current technologies and automations driving the future of hospitality.
Architectural and technological innovation
B-group Architects in collaboration with aace Advanced Construction Engineering SA, have envisioned and designed a special concept hotel room, from the reception area to the main bedroom. The suite’s main feature is a feeling of unity; of uniting the exterior with the interior, of being well-integrated with the environment. Organic forms in both architecture and furniture design emanate a feeling of continuous flow, and even the reception of the “smart” hotel follows the same aesthetic of constant motion, erasing boundaries.
State-of-the-art technologies and the latest automations will be integrated into the innovative hotel suite, aiming to improve guest experience. Hvac integration, hotel lighting & outlet control, door integration & occupancy detection based on motion, audio & video integration, touch screens, shade & drapery control, electronic lock integration, energy management, mini bar integration, property management integrations, etc. will enhance hotel operational efficiency, service and maintenance and help create a unique accommodation experience straight out of the future!
Introduction to the Smart Hotel will take place through special tours, while every evening there will be presentations within the Build Hotel program so that hoteliers will be able to discover ways to apply its innovations to their own business.
